Platinum Plating

Platinum is considered one of the most precious metals. One of the six metals in the platinum group. Platinum is the excellent anode material. Platinum electroplating is used to coat electrodes that are used in the water purification, refining of oil, and in the manufacturing of fertilizers, acids, and explosives. Silvex has the capability to platinum plate on brass, castings, copper, invar, kovar, steel, stainless steel, and titanium on items up to 24 inches in length.

Platinum plating has been very popular, because Platinum does not oxidize or tarnish

Its used for catalic converters, low voltage and low current application.

Platinum plating is used for anodes and for protecting substrates.

A thin Platinum protects the substrate and its very popular in coating section.

The consumption rate of platinized anodes is also adversely affected by the presence of organic impurities such as sugar and diesel fuel.

Pt / Ti-Nb-Ta rod anodes are widely used for internal protection of condensers, process equipment etc.

Pt / Ti-Nb-Ta wire anodes are used for internal protection of water tanks and pipelines.

Pt / Ti-Nb-Ta mesh anodes are used for protection of reinforced concrete structures.
